Verpan Fun 8DM Suspension

Verner Panton designed the Verpan Fun 8DM Suspension in 1964. Panton was renowned for infusing colour and personality into his designs, believing good design should shape perception, affect mood, and influence the space around it. This approach is reflected in the Fun Collection, which is characterised by large shades crafted from mother-of-pearl discs. When moved, the discs create a melodic chime, adding another dimension to the iconic design.

Suspended by stainless steel rings, the seashell discs create a sculptural presence and a bold personality, even when not in use. When switched on, the discs filter and reflect light for an ambient glow and a shimmering effect. This comfortable lighting suits entrance halls or hotel lobbies, adding an inviting atmosphere to the space. In large areas with high ceilings, multiple suspensions can be installed at various heights for dynamic displays with a touch of elegance.
