Marset Scantling

Marset Scantling Collection is a group of adjustable lights by Mathias Hahn, made from lacquered metal with a solid oak arm. The name comes from a scantling, a wooden strip once used as a unit of measurement, especially in shipbuilding. That reference appears in the oak section of each lamp, which sits against the black or white metal shade and structure.

Scantling comes as a wall light, table lamp, and floor lamp. Each version has an oak arm and an adjustable metal shade, so the light can be moved by hand and pointed towards the area being used. The wall light suits bedsides and desks, the table lamp works well on a desk or side table, and the P73 floor lamp is suited to a sofa, lounge chair, or reading area.

Scantling is available in Black or White finishes, both paired with oak detailing. The table and floor versions are plug-in with a black fabric cable and switch built into the diffuser, while the wall version is hardwired with the switch built into the wall plate. Most suited to bedrooms, living rooms, desks, reading corners, home offices, hotel rooms, and interiors where an adjustable task light can sit comfortably within the room.
