The Whirl Fat Cone Table Lamp takes its cues from the bold, distorted patterns of the Optical Art movement. Its polycarbonate shade is made using injection blow moulding, giving it a lightweight but durable form, while the spiral design appears to balance above the conical base. A vacuum metallisation process applies a thin layer of metal to the inside of the shade, creating Whirl's reflective, semi-metallised finish. The lamp is available in Gold/Black, Silver/Black and the new Copper/Black finish, alongside the Silver/Silver configuration.
When switched off, the Whirl Fat Cone Table Lamp has a strong decorative presence, with the spiral pattern and mirrored surface doing most of the work. Once illuminated, light reflects through the shade and shifts across the curved pattern, producing a layered play of light and shadow. An in-line dimmer allows the brightness to be adjusted to suit the setting. Use it in a bedroom, lounge or reading corner for softer ambient light, or pair it with the Whirl Fat Cone Floor Lamp for a coordinated look.
